Washington DC

We got to go visit one of my very favorite people last month...MY COUSIN B!!!!! We live really far away from each other, but we still get to hang out once in a while. He lives in Washington DC with his bran new brother Damon, who was only a few days old when we met him. His Mom is really tough - she even spent the day wandering around the zoo with all of us!
I was so spoiled, not only did I get to hang with B & his family, but my Coco (Grandma) & Papa Dan (Grandpa) were there too - we had so much fun together! And guess what, it gets better... Nana (Grandma) & Pappy (Grandpa) drove down from Connecticut, so I had all my grandparents there to spoil me rotten!
Mom & Dad went out one day to rally for sanity...whatever that means...and it was so crowded they decided sanity wasn't worth the trouble, so they ate street hot dogs & came back home.
We spent our last day in DC at a really cool museum. Coco & Papa Dan had to fly back to Utah, and we went on an 8 hour car drive with Nana & Pappy to Connecticut (stay tuned for CT stories!). I miss you B & little Damon...& Auntie & Uncle too.

A day at the pumpkin patch

Our visit to the pumpkin patch started out just like everyone else's... a photo taken in front of the patch with my Mom, a wander through the rows & rows of pumpkins to find just the right one to take home, a detour to the nearest sand patch to cover yourself from head to toe in fine dust....

This was the best part about the pumpkin patch! Rolling around in dirt! But not just any dirt, very find dust that clings to everything & feels really cool when you touch it.

Needless to say, I literally rolled around in this dust for a good half hour and had the best time! My parents acknowledged to all the people that walked past (some horrified, some extremely entertained, but all with their very dust free children) that they knew that they were either the worst parents or the best, but were going to leave it up to me to make that judgement call.
I vote the VERY BEST!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

When I was really little my friends Auntie Chrissy & Uncle Brad came to Maui for a visit. Auntie Chrissy is an amazing photographer & she took some impromptu photos on her visit. Daddy was lucky enough to receive all the photos as a gift for his birthday.
I think I was about 2 months old for these photos.
I have him wrapped around my little finger!

As a surprise gift, Mom let me spend the day with my buddie Travis while both our parents went on the longest zip line in the word to celebrate Daddy & Uncle Casey's birthdays.

They had a really great time & said I could go zippin' as soon as I am heavy enough to get all the way to the end (90 lb).
I
Every year the fair comes to town on Dad's birthday, but this was my first year to go... I had such a blast! I went down the huge slide, danced to live music, got dizzy on the spinning dinosaurs & ate mounds of junk food! I was so tired, I slept for hours & hours afterwards. Happy Birthday Da-da.

Auntie Heidi comes for a visit!

I had the best time hangin' with Auntie Heidi last month

We played at the park, we went for a hike, we cruised the aquarium...

we went boating & snorkeled in Molokini...

And of course we hit the beach every evening we could...

I have a really funny video to put here, but my computer is having issues, so I'll just have to add it later. :)

Now I'm sure my name is Noel!

As always, I am getting into mischief wherever I go. One of my favorite things is to torture my parents by covering myself with sand... in my ears, up my nostrils, and of course as much as they will allow me to eat! (Other children actually point out that I constantly have sand in my ears, how embarrassing for my parents!) "No Elle!" They say it over & over... You'll see, I don't think that name works for me.
"No Elle, don't climb into the book shelf..."

"No Elle, don't climb onto the book shelf..." " No Elle, you are making such a huge mess..."

"No Elle, we can't take the race car home with us, and I can't leave you here with it..."
"No Elle, you can't sleep in the toy box tonight..."
"No Elle, stop shoving fists full of sand into your mouth...""No Elle, not every time you see the computer means someone is waiting on SKYPE for a kiss..." Nana & Pappy actually were here this time, but now I think I need to kiss the computer every time my parents pull it out. (you should see how sticky, slimy & smudged this thing is!)"No Elle, Please stop making sand angels...while face down!"

"No Elle, stop that cussing... "(sorry Coco, I have no idea where she learned that vocabulary word! She just learned how to tell Suki dog to 'sit' maybe that's what she means?).

Maybe if my parents started calling me something besides Noel I might listen... Then again, maybe not!

Are you sure my name isn't Noel?

So when I get in trouble. or do something I'm not supposed to, my parents say NO ELLE! Which is kind of a lot!
They sometimes change it up & say ELLE NO, but they use that less & less, because I think they think the neighbors think they're cussing.
I know by looking at these pictures I look like a perfect little angel...
But I can assure you, I get into plenty of trouble!
Just last week while watching the sunset, I made a break for it & was able to dive head first into the huge crashing waves...with all my clothes on.
I had such a blast body surfing, but lucky for me Mom was wearing 2 shirts, so she let me borrow one of hers for the car ride home.
I love to play in water! Any where any time.
I play outside all the time too.
My mom says I play outside so much that I'm already getting freckles across my nose!
Of course, we were near the Iao stream yesterday and I couldn't help myself... I just had to jump in. Lucky Daddy is quick, I was trying to run across the stream as fast as my little legs could take me!

Just some fun pics.

I get around! My parents drag me all over the place - to parties, on boat rides, to the beach... So my Mom has collected a few photos friends have emailed over the months. Here are a few to hold everyone over until My Mom can put together a blog with video from our new under water camera.
Me & B on our first Whale WatchKulia loves to hold me... even though I'm really heavy

At the dolphin sand castle contest this weekend. I LOVE to play in the surf, I have absolutely NO FEAR!
