It was pretty cool, after the airline sent all the other passengers on their way on other flights, there were still a dozen of us stranded in California, so they pulled together a crew & plane & flew us over to the East coast. As you can see, I had free reign of the plane, so I crawled under & over the seats, ran up & down the aisles, and there wasn't anybody there that cared!
Aah... after several days of flying & nights in airport hotels we arrive in the lovely Barcelona, Spain. (Heidi, this is one of the shots I was thinking of blowing up for your wall...maybe in black & white?)We met up with my cousin B & Auntie M for my first visit to the Mediterranean!
My Dad was thrilled to go see some some historic art, he was an art major his first year of College after all. Mom really couldn't appreciate Gaudi's work - but she did figure out where the word gaudy comes from.Segrada de familia (or something like that) was a cool historic cathedral we got to visit. We also went up to Mont Juic, which had gorgeous views of the city. And a cool old fort from some war.One of the highlights for me & my Cousin B was the aquarium. We were running around like crazy little animals - My Mom was trying catch both of us in a single picture.
Mom & Auntie M kept laughing about how crazy it was to travel so far with us young'ns; and we didn't really make it easy on them. As you can see my Cousin B is wearing one of my extra outfits, since we were delayed on our way from Spain to Morocco in Casablanca for the night, B ran out of clean clothes (due to a leaky dukie on Aunties lap). Let me tell you, the adults were laughing, but I think they wanted to be crying!
Stay tuned for more adventures in Morocco...
That about sums it up...we were laughing but wanted to be crying. Well said!
